Active chairs
Aktiivisen istumisen vallankumous pyyhkäisee yli toimistojen. Oikeilla välineillä voit istuessasikin olla aktiivisempi. Aktiivinen istuminen kehittää ja vahvistaa niitä lihaksia, jotka ylläpitävät hyvää ryhtiä ja kehon asentoa. Selän lihasten ja niiden vatsapuolen ”vastustajien” liikuttaminen parantaa ryhtiä ja lievittää selkärankaan kohdistuvaa jännitystä. Parempi ryhti tuo sisäelimille lisää tilaa, vapauttaa pallean ja optimoi hengityksen.
Fyysinen toiminta parantaa aivojen suorituskykyä epigeneettisen aktivoinnin ja tiettyjen geenien ehkäisemisen kautta: aivojen hermosolut aktivoituvat, muisti terävöityy ja verenkierto hippokampukseen – mikä on olennaista hyvän muistin kannalta – paranee.
Liikkeen yhdistäminen istuvaan asentoon stimuloi lihaksia jännittymään ja rentoutumaan, kun lihakset vuorotellen aktivoidaan ja rentoutetaan. Kun lihakset eivät ole jännittyneinä, verisuonet laajenevat. Verenkierto lihaksiin kasvaa, ja lihakset saavat happea.
